World Haemophilia Day 2020

Written by Aaron Dennis, April 17, 2020

It’s World Haemophilia Day today, Friday 17 April and and we would love you to join us in marking this important day. Here’s a round-up of what you can do to show your support!

Host a virtual Buddies Who Brunch this weekend and make sure to include our red theme!

Put on something red, find your favourite pan and join us for the weekend of fun, food, photography and fundraising! Invite friends and family to a virtual brunch and ask them to donate whatever they can to attend.

We are looking forward to seeing your creations and thank you for your support of The Haemophilia Society – we couldn’t do what we do without you! Remember to post or send your photos to [email protected]

Any contribution, no matter how big or small, really will make a difference at a time when our community needs us most. We’ll give out prizes for the best & whackiest outfits!

Chat with our Youth Ambassadors

For World Haemophilia Day some of our Youth Ambassadors are hosting a virtual chat to discuss ideas for youth activities and how they can help support the bleeding disorder community.

This chat is open to everyone and will be a great way to end World Haemophilia Day! Jess and Scott are looking forward to hearing your ideas and answering your questions.

Our Youth Ambassadors are a great resource for any young bleeders or parents wanting some advice, they often join us at our Newly Diagnosed Weekends, so make sure to take advantage of this opportunity!

The chat will take place via Zoom at 7pm Friday 17 April. To get access to the chat please email us at [email protected]
